National Honor Society Volunteer Project
On  Thursday, members of the National Honor Society had the opportunity to volunteer at the local San Diego Food Bank.  The group was able to bag 3000 pounds of produce for families in need.

The ERWC class is analyzing an article on a controversial subject. They are going through a methodical process of determining the author’s purpose, claims, tone, and the credibility, appropriateness, and relevance of the evidence. This particular assignment included identifying and evaluating the rhetorical devices used to build and support the argument. They will then evaluate the merits and deficiencies of the argument as a whole.  Later, they will present their analysis in a formal essay.

At the end of the semester comes the departure of our Registrar, Monica Castro. Ms. Monica has been an integral part of the Balboa team for almost twenty years, and her service to the school will always be remembered and appreciated. She has helped the school in so many ways with her organized, logical, and common-sense approach.
The staff, students, and parents will all miss her greatly and wish her the best in her future endeavors!
